Why is Blood Holy? The bodies of men and animals are made up of many parts which do specific tasks. The blood connects, feeds, cleans and instructs the other parts by carrying sugars, waste products and hormones. The blood also carries the white blood cells which protect the body from diseases and foreign bodies. The blood circulates heat to all the extremities of the body. The blood gives life to the parts according to need. The blood is charitable and does not seek its own benefit. It exists to serve others and without the blood nothing in the body can live. In a healthy body the blood kills only the things which will harm the body and not the body itself. In women part of the blood is shed every month in an attempt to create new life in the womb. The death of this blood is a grief to the body. The body mourns for the blood because the body loves the blood. The ´blood of Christ´ is the Holy Spirit of charity and service which feeds, cleans, instructs and protects the ´body of Christ´. This Spirit (or ´blood´) can enter into a person who is spiritually helpless, blind and dying, and feed, clean, instruct and protect them until they are healthy. The blood of the bodies of individual people is healthy but the blood between people uniting them as brothers and sisters with one Father is not healthy. People fight and oppress each other - killing parts of their own body - instead of giving whatever is needed to bring life to others. The life of an animal or man is in the blood of it, because it is this holy charity and service which the blood does that makes life possible. Christians are called the ´body of Christ´ and they are to behave like a body does. The Capitalist-Democratic governments of the world exist by forcing people to give to each other by taxation of the wealth of the rich and redistribution to the poor. They have life in them because of this but it is not holy. The body of these governments is like a body full of cancer which is prevented from spreading enough to kill the body. The spirit of charity is replaced with the spirit of law enforcement. Charity is the greatest of virtues: (1 Corintians Chapter 13) 013:001 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 013:002 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 013:003 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 013:004 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 013:005 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 013:006 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 013:007 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 013:008 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 013:009 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 013:010 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 013:011 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 013:012 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 013:013 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Jesus said that His blood brings life: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:26-28) Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:53-54) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; (Acts 17:24-26) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. (1 Corinthians 10:16-17) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (Ephesians 1:7) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:12-14) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) |
